the lucerne-based fashion label velvet novel focuses on clear, concise cuts and combines these with an elegant look of modern sensuality. in doing so, velvet novel pursues the goal of maximising the aesthetics of the minimal.

since its foundation in 2013, velvet novel has placed a clear focus on sustainable fashion and is committed to a circular, responsible fashion industry. on the one hand, it favours the use of certified fabrics with high sustainability standards. on the other hand, the label pursues the ‘made of found objects’ design strategy: discarded textiles are redesigned and returned to the cycle. this reduces the consumption of new products and conserves valuable resources.

production takes place in the SAH’s studio for women in lucerne and in a small production facility in szczecin, poland.
