maki is the perfect shirt for every day. whether it’s for work or leisure, this shirt always fits. it is elegant and sporty at the same time and can be worn in different ways (asymmetrical with the folds or symmetrical).
for this collection, we transform found objects into new, unique products filled with a touching sense of nostalgia. every maki shirt is a unique product, no two are the same. the shirt is re-designed from found cotton shirts.
the model is 175cm tall and is wearing size XS/S
fabric
the maki shirt did not use any virgin resources. we worked with local thrift shops and clothing distribution centres and received shirts that we redesigned. we only used high quality 100% cotton shirts.

care
the shirt is easy to care for and can be washed on a gentle cycle at 30°C. the shirt should not be tumble dried, but can be ironed at a maximum of 150°C.
the re-design, the pattern and the prototyp from maki shirt is made at the studio of velvet novel in lucerne, switzerland.
the shirt is re-sewn by dorota and her team in poland. the studio is located in stettin, close to the german border. it’s a small team of six seamstresses.
