ria trousers
ria trousers are the first trousers from velvet novel. They are redesigned from old second hand trousers – which makes each pair unique. The trousers have an elasticated waistband and wide legs.
for this collection we transform found objects into new, unique products with a touching sense of nostalgia.

fabric
the ria trousers did not use any virgin resources. we worked with local thrift shops and clothing distribution centres and received trousers that we redesigned.
care
cleaning is possible, but often not necessary. a few hours in the fresh air, and you usually have a “cleaned” piece again. If it is absolutely necessary, you can wash the garment by hand in lukewarm water, squeeze it out carefully and dry it in the air.
the design, the pattern and the prototyp from ria trousers is made at the studio of velvet novel in lucerne, switzerland. the trousers is remanufactured by SAH atelier für frauen in lucerne, switzerland. the studio is located in stettin, close to the german border. it’s a small team of six seamstresses.
